UP-VSB students win the Nationals of Deloitte Tax Challenge

Third year BSBA students of the U.P. Cesar E.A. Virata School of Business (UP-VSB) Val Zachari B. Fonacier, Samantha L. Ching, Jacob DP. Cacnio and Noah David T. Crisologo won First Place in the National Round of the Deloitte Tax Challenge held at Navarro Amper & Co.’s headquarters at the 19th Floor Net Lima Plaza, 5thAvenue Cor. 26th St., Bonifacio Global City, Taguig on 7 January 2019. Ching was chosen as the Best Speaker. The winning students won PHP50,000.00 and represented the Philippines in the Southeast Asian Regional Round in Bangkok, Thailand on 1 March 2019.

Deloitte Tax Challenge is an annual tax-based competition that is designed to encourage and develop students from higher learning institutions to hone their tax knowledge, improve their engagement capabilities, and articulate their insights and views on communication and writing skills.
