UP VSB Wins the Championship in the 17th FINEX Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition

The winning team with the UPVSB Department of Accounting and Finance Chair, Dr. Dave Borja; 2015 FINEX Outstanding Finance Educator, Prof. Joe Florendo and Coach Al-Habbyel Yusoph.

The UP Virata School of Business team composed of 5^th year BSBAA students, Francis Czeasar Chua, Fredrick Daniel de Guzman, Julie Ann Francisco, Alyssa Noelle Martinez and Mardheeya Nuruddin won first place in the 17^th Inter-Collegiate Finance Competition (ICFC) sponsored by the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX). The competition was joined this year by 93 Philippine universities and colleges and the University of Guam.

The top 20 Philippine schools from the elimination round last October competed with the University of Guam in the finals held at the auditorium of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas in Manila last 23 November 2015. This is VSB’s 10^th Championship win during the ICFC’s 17-year run. Mr. Al-Habbyel Yusoph, UP VSB Instructor, acted as the Coach of the Champion Team.
